NEP ANDREWS HUBS: THE FUTURE OF LIVE SPORTS BROADCASTING

In early 2018 NEP Australia ushers in a new era for live sports broadcasting when our unique IP-based remote production capabilities come online.

NEP’s new Andrews Hubs – the first of their kind in Australia and the most technically advanced facilities on this scale in the world – will enable multiple concurrent outside broadcasts.

‘Remote production’ will see cameras and microphones located at the venue, with the majority of the production team based at the Hubs. There, central control facilities can accommodate up to six simultaneous events, connecting with 29 sporting venues via NEP’s new high bandwidth network.

This creates considerable savings in crew travel time, as well as efficiencies arising from centralised and inter-Hub resource sharing for everything from equipment through to disaster recovery capabilities.

The Andrews Hubs will be fully operational across all venues in time for the start of the 2018 NRL and AFL seasons.

NEP is delighted that FOX SPORTS is the first broadcaster to avail themselves of the Hubs and the efficiencies, flexibility, comfort and on-air consistency they provide. We are in active discussions with other broadcasters about taking advantage of this exceptional technology that meets a real industry need and creates the best value production solution for our clients.
